"The world needs inventions. In particular, in logistics and shipbuilding. This will allow the industry to develop more rapidly, while reducing costs. Not so long ago, Ukraine was the flagship of shipbuilding. And today there are all the resources to return this title again," the Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine V. Omelyan emphasized./source/

Civil shipbuilding will also develop in Ukraine. And the driver here will be the APC. "This was already the case in the second half of the 19th century. Russia's defeat in the Crimean War put an end to military shipbuilding for many years. But the reforms implemented then stimulated the bread trade. And for the transportation of grain, ships are needed, and as a result, shipbuilding in Nikolaev was revived. History develops in a spiral. We have been actively exporting grain crops for several years. The example of the NIBULON company shows how a domestic agricultural producer is starting to engage in shipbuilding. True, in contrast to the 19th century, today, in order to build an efficient economy, it is necessary to export not raw materials, but a processed product. An example is the port in the city of Ghent. More than 100 thousand people work there, and they are mainly engaged in the processing of products sent for export. Such a scheme is at least four to five times more profitable than the export of raw materials. And, mind you, all these are components of the maritime complex," says S. Ryzhkov. And he adds that specialists for this field are also trained at NUK - at the faculty of "Marine Infrastructure". This is a peculiar answer to those skeptics who say that shipbuilding in Ukraine has finally died. / In the photo: Sergey Ryzhkov, Rector of NUK, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor/ 07-Apr-2016 Alexander MYROSHNYCHENKO..
